Customer Agreement

Services Provided:

  1. Description:

  2. Training Status: The services provided are part of a student training program and not a business providing professional services. Repairs will be performed by pre-apprentice students under the supervision of qualified & certified instructors.

  3. Scope: Not all repairs can be guaranteed or completed. The school reserves the right to decline or discontinue work on any device for instructional, safety, or feasibility reasons.

Customer Responsibilities:

  1. Backup: Customer is responsible for backing up all data before submitting the computer for repair. If a backup is requested, the customer gives permission to personal document access.

  2. Password: Customer agrees to provide any necessary passwords for the repair process.

  3. Ticket System: Customers are responsible for monitoring messages and responding in a timely manner when additional authorization or information is requested.

  4. Parts: If replacement parts or materials are required, the customer is responsible for purchase. The school does not carry inventory or can purchase parts.

Liability and Warranty:

  1. Limitation of Liability: AV Adult Education shall not be held liable for any damages, data loss, or consequential damages arising from the repair services.

  2. Warranty: No warranty is provided for the services performed. All services are provided “as-is” without warranty, express or implied.

Data Privacy:

  1. Confidentiality: AV Adult Education agrees to maintain the confidentiality of the customer’s data. However, the customer acknowledges that some data access may be necessary during the repair process. AVAE shall not be held responsible for any loss of data during the repair process.

Customer Consent:

  1. Authorization: Customer authorizes AV Adult Education to perform necessary repairs, replacements, and adjustments to the computer equipment.

Payment:

  1. Charges: The customer agrees to pay ($50 flat rate) for the repair services. Fee is waived for veterans.

  2. Payment Terms: Payment is due before computer repair services are performed. If late, payment must be received before release of services.

Termination:

  1. Termination: Either party may terminate this agreement with written notice if the other party breaches any terms.

  2. Abandonment: Equipment left unclaimed 90 days beyond the stated pickup window may be considered abandoned.

Miscellaneous:

  1. Governing Law: This agreement shall be governed by the laws of California.

  2. Entire Agreement: This agreement constitutes the entire understanding between the parties and supersedes any prior agreements or understandings.

By signing below, the customer acknowledges that they have read and understood the terms and conditions of this agreement.
